Notes & Tasks: Toolbar

Let's Begin
The Notes & Tasks Toolbar is the navigation hub in the Notes & Tasks area, it gets you where you need to be.
The Notes & Tasks Toolbar contains the high level functionality you'll use for the Notes & Tasks area.
The rest of the Notes & Tasks functionality is built right into the Notes & Tasks Work Area.
Above the Toolbar you'll find the Workspace name(click to edit), workspace selection dropdown button, filters buttons - click to turn on/view/manage filters, and more available in the Workspace/Filters Area.
On the toolbar you can change the height and layout of the Notes & Tasks Work Area, and select the different view styles and their functionalities, Lists View, Notes Outline View, List Type View(Future).
Along with navigating to the other areas in Storyfyre.
A combination of filters, tags, and view styles from the toolbar should give you any view of your Notes & Tasks that you need to see.
Our goal is to enhance the writing experience for every author. Fixing your view of your writing notes/tasks and story/thought process fixes your stories.
Workspace/Filter Area - Select the Workspace Name to edit workspace information, click the workspace selection (dropdown button) to choose a different workspace.
Selecting Filtered/Unfiltered buttons turns the filters on and off(future). Selecting the Filters count button opens the filters edit panel(future).
From the Notes & Tasks Toolbar you can open the Lists View, Notes Outline View(Future), and List Type View(Future). Each of these open into their own areas with their own functionality.
You can Add a New List/Lane to the Work Area, Create a New Workspace, and View Storyfyre in Fullscreen.
On all the Storyfyre area toolbars near the end are the Download, Projects, Customize(ellipsis), and Help buttons. Quick shortcut icons which open the areas fast when you need them.
Everything you need and nothing you don't, to help you get your stories and books done fast. The Notes & Tasks Toolbar quickly lets you navigate to any area or functionality that you need.

Here's a quick view of the Notes & Tasks Toolbar functionality.
Areas
- Height - Adjusts the height of the Lists/Lanes in the Notes & Tasks Work Area.
- Views - Lists View, Notes Outline View(Future), List Type View(Future).
- Lists View - Opens the Lists/Lanes View in the Notes & Tasks Work Area. Displays Notes/Tasks/Texts in a Lists/Lanes visual view.
- Notes Outline View(Future) - Opens the Notes Outline View in its own Notes Outline View area and has its own specific functionalities.
- Displays/edits the Lists, Notes/Tasks/Texts, etc... in a cool, quick, vertical outline view and text format.
- All changes sync with the Notes & Tasks: Lists View automatically and vice versa.
- List Type View(Future) - Opens the List Type View in its own List Type View area and has its own specific functionalities.
- Displays each specific List separately/allows quick edits of the Notes/Tasks/Texts and their information in a quick to view/quick to edit dropdown way.
- Manage your change notes, drafts, draft notes, and story's notes & tasks quickly.
- All changes sync with the Notes & Tasks: Lists View automatically and vice versa.
- App Areas - Scene Map, Scenes Outline, Characters, Story Settings.
- Scene Map - Opens the Scene Map in its own Scene Map Work Area. Displays Scenes and Chapters. Other views available, chapters view, plotline view, in next version.
- Scenes Outline - Opens the Scenes Outline in its own Scenes Outline area and has its own specific functionalities. Displays/edits the Chapters, scenes, etc... in vertical outline and text format. All changes sync with the Scene Map: Scenes View automatically and vice versa.
- Characters - Opens the Characters in its own Characters area and has its own specific functionalities. Displays/edits the Characters, Character images, Character attributes. Manage your story's characters here.
- Story Settings - Opens the Story Settings/Story Locations/Story & World Rules in its own Story Settings area and has its own specific functionalities. Displays/edits the Story Settings/Story Locations/Story & World Rules, Story/World Groups, Story/World Items, images, and attributes. Manage your story's story settings here. Any of the things.
- Functionality - Add a New List, Create a New Workspace, View In Fullscreen
- Add a New List - Adds a new List/Lane to the Work Area
- Create a New Workspace - Creates a new/different Notes & Tasks Workspace and Work Area.
- View In Fullscreen - Display Storyfyre software fullscreen without the browser, like a native app.
- Download - Download/Export/Backup Current Notes & Tasks Workspace. See General Download/Export/Backup Help
- Projects - See Projects Area
- Customize - Customize button (elipsis) menu gives you access to Layout and Personalize areas.
- Layout - Condenses/UnCondenses the Work Area
- Personalize - Lets you personalize your Storyfyre software, set/change background image + more.

Notes & Tasks: Workspace, View and Filters Area
Change/select a different Workspace, click/tap(touch) the (dropdown) icon.
Or use the Left Side Action Menu, found under the top menu three-line hamburger menu on smaller screens or on larger screens on the left side.
Notes & Tasks Workspace, View and Filters AreaWorkspace/Filter Area is found just above the Notes & Tasks Toolbar. - More in Filters Help.
The name of the current selected Notes & Tasks Workspace is displayed in the Notes & Tasks Workspace/Filter Area.
Selecting the Filtered/Unfiltered (filters on/off)button will turn the filtered view on and off.
The icon indicator changes and lights up when the Filtered view is selected(on). The icon indicator changes back to its original unlit status when Unfiltered view is selected(off).
- The Unfiltered view shows you everything with no filters.
- The Filtered view displays the Notes & Tasks based on the selected filters/tags, focusing your view.
Selecting the Filters Count button(View/Set) just to the right will open the filters side panel.
The filters side panel is where you can select, unselect, add, edit, reset, or delete filters, tags, chapter #'s, scene #'s, and more.The functionality for the Notes & Tasks: Workspace/Filter Area is discussed here: Notes & Tasks: Filters, Tags, Chapter #'s, Scene #'s
Limits
We know of some limits within the Notes & Tasks, in each area we will try and list the ones we know of at the bottom, and ones which we intend to address with our future updates.
The Lists/Lanes View has no limits.
The Outline View area and functionality is currently being worked on and will be included in the next version.
The List Type View(Future) area and functionality is currently being worked on and will be included in the next version.
The Workspace Display name and edit panel for the current Workspace are completely and fully functional(no limits).
The Filters/Tags area and Filter's Buttons in the filters area are currently being worked on and will be included in the next version.
